Smooth Relocation was founded by an Israeli who has spent many years in Boston throughout his life. Over time, I got to know the city deeply: its neighborhoods, its stores, its rhythms. And again and again, I found myself helping Israeli friends and families who were relocating there, setting up their apartments, taking them to open bank accounts, stocking their fridge, showing them around.
After doing it informally so many times, it made sense to turn it into a proper service. Boston is a city I know well, and I understand exactly what an Israeli newcomer needs to feel at home fast. That's what Smooth Relocation is here for.
I also know what it feels like to do it alone. In 2012, I moved to California with a newborn. No guide, no network, no idea where to start. I had to figure out daycare, the school system, pediatricians, neighborhoods - everything from scratch, while also trying to build a career and keep a baby happy in a brand new place. Moving with kids adds a whole layer of pressure that people underestimate. I know how to take that pressure off, and how to make the whole experience feel exciting for the entire family, kids included.
